We LOVE Belize and the Placencia Peninsula is the ultimate destination to experience all that this beautiful country has to offer! After a lengthy search for our ideal spot, we discovered it here in this stunning area of Belize. Our initial attraction was its reputation as THE PERMIT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD, perfect for our passion for fly fishing. We have also grown to appreciate the wide range of world class wildlife photography opportunities. Moreover, the peninsula offers a unique blend of island-like charm, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea to the south and east boasting some of Belize's finest beaches, while a serene lagoon lies to the west. Unlike the Cayes, here you have the convenience of easy driving access to explore Belize and neighboring countries or embark on mainland adventures with local guides for birding, exploring ruins, spelunking in caves, enjoyable catamaran cruises, river tubing, exhilarating zip lining, ATV rides, chasing waterfalls and jungle sightseeing day or night. Snorkeling, diving, fishing excursions of all types, boat trips to stunning nearby Cayes, or simply relaxing here at the house on the peaceful sandy beach, taking the bikes or paddle boards out for a spin, enjoying the beachside pool or snorkeling the mini reef off the beach, there's truly something for everyone and you will likely find yourself with never enough time to enjoy it all!
For the foodie culinary enthusiasts, we're conveniently close to a variety of outstanding restaurants on the peninsula, accessible within 5 to 15 minutes by golf cart; three excellent dining options are even within walking distance. Golf cart rentals are available just across the road. Our home offers luxurious beds and linens, meticulously equipped for comfort, reflecting our personal time spent here. All king beds can be separated into 2 XL Twins upon request. We're also readily available by phone to assist with any queries or provide guidance as needed. This stunning property features a mini reef with large coral heads just off the beach, perfect for snorkeling right from the house. Golf cart rentals are conveniently located across the road, approximately 250 yards away. Car rentals are available close by as well. Our local Concierge Extraordinaire, David, is nearby to assist with coordinating rentals or arranging tours as needed.
The beachfront saline soaking pool is truly spectacular! Rental includes two bikes, two paddle boards and a selection of snorkel gear. Placencia Village is a short 12-15 minute golf cart ride or a relaxed 20-25 minute bike ride away. Grocery stores can be found approximately 2 miles away. Additionally, three excellent restaurants are within walking distance.
While we adore nearby Placencia and Seine Bight, we cherish this location for its peaceful atmosphere, yet its proximity allows us to enjoy the best of both worlds.
